I would like to know if you guys think taking a paycut is ever a good idea. Here is my scenario:
Right now I'm making about 52k a year. I'm getting a stipend because I'm multilingual. However I have many responsibilities and work under direct supervision. I also have to work tons on the weekend!
I have been offered a "leadership" opportunity at another place, but I would only be racking in 46,500, which is almost 5,000 less than my current job. The base salary is the same as my current job but I would not be receiving the multilingual stipend. This job would not require that I work as much on the weekends and i would have more autonomy while doing my job (i.e. I could potentially sneak in a few breaks to study if I go to LS part time).
What would you guys do in my situation? I have job offers at both places and have a week to decide! Is it ever a good idea to take a paycut?

You need to value your leisure time per hour and then optimize it, brah.

You always have to balance pay, stability, advancement opportunity, enjoyment of your work, and workload. So yeah, there are plenty of times it makes sense to take a paycut.

Going to law school certainly qualifies as "taking a pay cut." And then some.
