Should I get any Evaluations?

Post by syr1990 » Tue Jun 19, 2012 12:26 am

I'm in the process of getting letters of recommendation from professors. Should I also get some evaluations? I'm applying to most of the schools in the top 14. How important are the evaluations? And if I choose a professor as a recommender only, can I go back later and let him submit an evaluation?

It wouldn't hurt but they pretty much count for nothing. Eventually LSAC might move to make them mandatory though so preparing to have one or two available is not a bad idea.

They're really not that important. I might (MIGHT) ask one person for one, just in case, but you should be fine with just LoRs.

I went to an LSAC forum and asked a representative from almost every T-14 what they thought. Not one of them said it was necessary or important.

It's a mandatory but preparing to have one available is not a bad idea. :)
