Does work experience as a police officer help admissions into law school or not so much; more specifically admissions to NU and approximately 1-3 years experience.
I've heard conflicting arguments.
Discuss.
Thank you for your help.

Re: WE as a Police Officer
I don't know any former police officers, but that doesn't mean that it would hurt. I don't think it would be particularly helpful.

Well, as I'm sure you realize, admissions are largely determined by your LSAT and GPA. LE experience can be a solid soft that shows life and work experience, and it can be great fodder for a personal statement, resume enhancer, and showing leadership. I believe it helped a meat-head like me perform slightly better than my numbers alone might suggest. But LSAT and GPA rule; all other softs just break ties.

Re: WE as a Police Officer
NU is known for a) admitting students with WE and b) leniency with splitters.
If there is a T14 school that looks for WE it's NU. All else being equal, WE will give you the biggest boost at NU.
