Re: Question about LSAC GPA Calculation
Hey man, I think you should be okay. I had both an W on my transcript and a WF (withdraw fail). For the WF like I literally did not drop the class at any time, I forgot I even signed up for it, that's why it's a WF. Neither counted in my official transcript GPA but the WF did count as a fail which hurt my LSAC GPA. But I think in your case it's just going to be a W, which won't count against you.

Re: Question about LSAC GPA Calculation
Pretty sure you are actually screwed, OP. Read the quote you posted. If your transcript doesn't say it is nonpunative LSAC will factor it as an F. I would get in touch with your undergrad because they are the people you will have to schmooze.

Re: Question about LSAC GPA Calculation
Always LSAC GPA.Regulus wrote:Thank you for posting that site mewalke1; it listed "W" as "omit" for my school, which I wasn't sure what that meant in regards to being counted as part of the LSAC GPA, so I called LSAC this afternoon and they said that as long as a W is not a WF or WP, it is nonpunitive and will not be counted towards one's GPA.
So.............. I'm safe!
One last question: Are the GPAs that are often shown for the 25/75th percentiles of admitted students on various websites the LSAC GPA or just normal GPA?
Thanks!
