I meant to say the PhD would be more difficult. It isn't like smart people can just show and get admitted to top Phd programs like they can for law school.

PhD is much more difficult. Top PhD programs have acceptance rates in the 2-4% range. That's lower than YLS.

far harder to get into a phd program. but job prospects are even worse in academia. consider learning how to do something. if you're just graduating from college, go get a second degree in something useful. you could be in a good career by 24. nothing to sneeze at.
