Fee Wavers
When do you normally find out if you get one?

Usually right after getting your LSAT score. For me, they continued to trickle in for about a month or so.

Re: Fee Wavers
I got tons of fee waivers, but only about 3 or 4 from schools that I wanted to apply to. I solicited the rest of them, and I think I only paid for 1 out of 10 applications. So don't be afraid to ask schools for fee waivers if you don't receive one from a school you want to apply to.

When is it appropriate to start soliciting them for the upcoming cycle?

As soon as the apps become available would probably be a good time. Also, dont be afraid to ask a few times. Different administrative people will give you different answers.soccer88 wrote:When is it appropriate to start soliciting them for the upcoming cycle?

How long does it take for them to give your waiver or reject your request? I want to get apps in as close to day one as possible.minnbills wrote:Once their applications are available for the cyclesoccer88 wrote:When is it appropriate to start soliciting them for the upcoming cycle?

Depends. I always got an answer within a week, usually a day or two.bernaldiaz wrote:How long does it take for them to give your waiver or reject your request? A couple of schools (I'm looking at you BC and BU!!!) initially told me they didn't offer waivers but then a week later both offered.

Any movement on these suckers? Apps are getting scary close to opening. Has anyone been soliciting?

I've been able to solicit waivers from Gtown, UVA and WUSTL so far! Most of the others have said they are waiting for CRS checks or to check back with them next month.

Re: Fee Wavers
Is there any rule of thumb as to the numbers with which you can solicit fee waivers? At / above school's median scores or sth like that?

Re: Fee Wavers
I think I read it is $20 per school, up from $12 last year.VasaVasori wrote:This is a different question, but I didn't want to create a whole new thread for it. Does anyone know how much LSAC's fee is? That is, even if you have a fee waiver the price you have to pay to submit an application? Thanks!

Have fun with the search function. At most schools you'll be in the first wave of decisions even if you wait until you get a waiver.
