Does a high school suspension matter when applying to LS?

Post by Steve2207 » Sun Jun 03, 2012 7:11 pm

When asked on a law school application if youve ever been suspended or expelled, are they meaning from colleges or universities? Or every school youve attended from kindergarden on?

....

I have so many responses I don't even know where to begin to this question. The real response is no: you were under 18 and were a juvenile. Unless you did some sort of horrific, bloody stupid thing like piledrive your brother through a trampoline and kill him, no.

(not a lawyer, not legal advice blah blah blah)

Now stop being paranoid and go out and have a drink or something ffs. Sheesh!

The thing is, I was literally suspended far more times than I can possibly remember between the grades of 6-9. Do I just say yes, and not write an amendum?

Can I conclude that the lack of activity on this thread is a sign that I am going to have a hard time getting into law school because of this?

damn it, I was afraid of that. I was hoping what I did as a minor wouldnt have mattered. Anyone know of any schools that are lenient about this sort of thing? Would I even have a shot at TTT schools?

Even if I had to admit it, I have no problem being honest, its just how do I expliain that I have so many that I cant remember? Im not even sure if I contacted my old HS, and middle school if they would even have a record of it! I am now 27 years old, so it has been several years.

This guy is pretty convincing. Though, editing your early post to include the TTT part was a dead giveaway.

Bro, this guy is obviously not a troll (or else he's just a terrible one at that).

Its funny how almost every time a new poster comes on TLS and asks something that sounds ridiculous (to us veterans), people just automatically assume its a troll. Get real.

Sorry man, I got booted off TLS for a bit!

It seems the trolls found this thread before I could tell you no big deal. Sorry. -.-

Anyways, avatar size...I just found a big avatar and plugged it in. I don't really remember.

Best of luck. Ignore the idiots. TLS has some good information if you can delve through the bullshit.

Thanks! when I tried to put the avatar in it said it had to be 62 pix, so i went here, http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ , and it made this avatar this size when I typed in 62. Seems kinda tiny! (Please no one come in with any "Is that what she said" jokes)

Never

it depends on the law school. Some want this sort of thing (Ohio State); others don't. If in doubt, I'd go ahead and tell them.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
