Question regarding a Nonpunitive grade

Post by splitter13 » Tue May 08, 2012 2:38 pm

If I took Math 090 and English 090, which are both remedial courses and didn't count towards my GPA. If I received a U in math 090 will it count towards my LSAC GPA? even if it didn't count towards my undergraduate GPA.

Also the class provided no credits towards graduation.

It probably will. If it counted for credits, it will be counted. Easy way it to just check your transcript online or whatever. If it says "Credits Attempted" or anything like that, then it will be counted as an F.

Yeah, my last post misconstrued that post to say that the class wasn't worth any credits, which is different from the credits not counting towards graduation. If the class counted towards your number of credits, it will be counted as an F. If the class was worth 0 credits (I doubt it, but my independent study wasn't worth any credits) it won't count against your lsac gpa.

Probably not going to affect your LSAC GPA, for this reason.

Your best bet is to call LSAC and see what would be considered punative and then call your school to see what's up with those classes.

Math 090/English 090? May I ask, why?
prob. did bad on his placement tests the summer before starting college

I did do bad on the placement test. My math used to suck, I'm not graduating with a 3.4 major Economics GPA which is ironic. I'll call the school tomorrow and ask about it. Hopefully it was zero credits, which I think it was because it didn't calculate into my GPA.Has me worried though
