Reusing story

I'm applying to a JD/MBA program.

Do the law/business schools share the essays that I write with each other? And even so, what do you guys think if I reused the main story of my personal statement in one of the business school essays?

It's fine to use the same story/situation, and it's fine to use the exact same essay if you want. B-schools and law schools are looking for different qualities in applicants, though. Law school admissions officers (very generally speaking) prob want to hear about overcoming an obstacle in life or an experience that galvanized your interest in the law, whereas b-schools (very generally speaking) want you to demonstrate an example of effective leadership or working well within a team. To the extent that these overlap in your PS, I would go ahead and use it for both (w/ some tailoring).
