My GF just got admitted because... ...she's my GF?! Forum

I just got a call from my GF, she was ecstatic. Apparently she *called (not e-mailed...sorry for the confusion) the admissions office at the school I'll be attending this fall, where she was waitlisted, and told them that her fiance (referring to me) had already been accepted and had paid the seat deposit. She stated that she loved the area (she did an internship there for a summer during undergrad) and that she would like to know ASAP whether she would be getting in or not.

The guy on the other end told her that he loved everything about her app except for her LSAT score. He said that he would admit her, but would "need to take something to the admission committee" so he wanted her to take another LSAT prep course and retake the LSAT in June and try to score as close to the school's median as possible, also stating that if LSAC doesn't allow her to take the LSAT again (she's taken it 3 times) that they, the school, would override LSAC and make it possible for her to take it.

So from what I understand, she's in, but has to take the LSAT again for formalities (LOL).

I just wanted to post this because I thought it was interesting and may be helpful to others.

Does anyone know if anyone has ever transferred from McGeorge to a T20 school?

What is your gf going to do when you transfer out? Are you just going to leave her behind or does she plan on being top 5% too

And actually, yeah, she did. She didn't get admitted based on her application. She got waitlisted based on her application. Could she have gotten in later? Maybe, maybe not. Tough chance with an LSAT score 6 points below median. But she mentioned my name and her relationship to me. That, combined with her application and experience, got her in.

I actually got into a couple other schools since this time...

And I'm not sure. I know that she really loves the area. And all I hear about is how its impossible to stay in a relationship during 1L so I don't think it'll be an issue.
