Seat Deposit at Waitlisted Schools?
Could someone please explain to me the proper way to handle this? I've yet to make my final decision - in at 2 schools and waitlisted at two more. With the first seat deposit deadlines coming up, should I send a deposit to those schools at which I'm waitlisted to stay in consideration? Is it necessary to do so at all, given that I haven't actually been admitted? May I send a deposit to two schools, and make my final decision after this mid-April deadline? I'm not sure how to proceed. Thanks!

Re: Seat Deposit at Waitlisted Schools?
Schools that have waitlisted you don't want your seat deposit, since they are not currently holding a seat open for you to place a deposit on. You're waiting for someone else to NOT pay their seat deposit, opening a seat for you.
You can pay the deposit at one or more of the schools that have admitted you and continue waiting for the waitlist schools. If you end up getting in off a waitlist and want to attend that school, you would just forfeit the seat deposit(s) you'd already paid.
