Multiple Seat Deposits
Morning,
I was wondering if schools can officially monitor the number of seat deposits you put down. I read LSAC may send notice to the schools that you have put more than one down, but at the same time, I did not go through LSAC at any point for my first one.
Anyone have any more info on this?
I am trying to wait for + money at one school, otherwise I will take a different offer from a different school. I am just trying to decide if that $400 will be spent towards increased leverage, or if it will just be a wasted $400 which I can't afford right now.
Thanks so much

Definitely will do.
I will follow up with what I learn.

I think I heard the report is sent to schools around June, but I'm not sure at all about that. Again, ask LSAC and report please.

many peer schools share their lists of deposited students.

Re: Multiple Seat Deposits
Does this happen after the first deposit, second deposit, or both? And what exactly is a peer school - schools within their rank regardless of location or schools within their region regardless of rank?

Re: Multiple Seat Deposits
Spoke with LSAC this morning, and they notified me that upon paying a deposit, most schools will notify LSAC about your decision, and they may become aware of whether or not you put down multiple deposits elsewhere.
For anyone who thought about bluffing, LSAC has got you covered. If you tell university x that you will go to y, but it is past y's deadline, chances are that uni. x is aware of your "bluff."
That is what I was able to take out of the conversation this morning. Let me know if anyone learns of anything else.
Thanks
