Internships during Undergrad

Post by lambert8 » Wed Mar 28, 2012 12:08 am

I was just wondering if anyone knew how important it was for the Admissions people to see that you had some kind of internship during your undergrad or if it even matters at all. I was very busy over summers with sports and working so I never was able to get a legitimate internship and my parents keep heckling me saying I'll never get accepted without a real internship experience. Thanks for the responses.

Don't worry about that. Worry about keeping your GPA up for now. When it comes to the point of applying, your GPA and LSAT will be the principle factors in determining acceptance or not.

Worry about your GPA now; once you graduate, its set in stone.

Worry about your LSAT after you graduate. Take a year off/study for the LSAT/save money.

Not important at all, especially considering you were working and playing (varsity?) sports during the summer.

Yes I will have played now 5 years of varsity sports while in college/working while living at school over the summer
