When can I take LSAT again?
Hi guys,
I took LSATs 3 times already, 2010 June, 2010 September, 2010 December.
I didn't get good scores for all of them, so I am planning to take the exam again
in a near future.
For what I know, I can take LSAT 3 times in 2 years.
So if I take the exam again this September, which scores will be used
for the 2012-13 cycle?
Thank you.

You can retake for a 4th time in the June of 2012 (or September 2012--It's actually October btw--as you hope). Law schools will see all of your test scores/cancels if you apply for the 2012-2013 cycle, but almost all will focus exclusively on the highest score.idiotstupid wrote:Hi guys,

Any thoughts on this situation: if I take my first three LSATs in 2010, decide to reapply after a few years of work, and take it (and score 5-7 points higher) in 2014.
Does the time gap play a significant role in them weighing the fourth score more?

No - with few exceptions, they'll look at your highest score anyway.nkp007 wrote:Any thoughts on this situation: if I take my first three LSATs in 2010, decide to reapply after a few years of work, and take it (and score 5-7 points higher) in 2014.

This should be a sign that law school is a bad idea for you.idiotstupid wrote:Hi guys,

Not necessarily. If his goal is 160 and he has failed to break it, then maybe. If his goal is 175 and he continuously performed lower than his PTs, then not so much.NoJob wrote:This should be a sign that law school is a bad idea for you.idiotstupid wrote:Hi guys,

Have you been under-performing your PTs? If not, then work at it until your PTs are in the range you want. It's illogical to hope that you'll magically outperform your PTs on test day.

OP needs a score that gets them into HYSCCN or maybe one of the other T14s. Anything else is a bad idea as going to any school outside of the T14 will likely render OP worse off than where they are now. Plus opportunity costs.
