Columbia Reserve List
So, I was placed on the reserve list at Columbia. Apparently they don't rank their reserve list and don't release how many people are on it. The next group pulled off of the list will be in May, after seat deposits at most other schools I'm considering.
Has anyone had experience with the reserve list at Columbia? What are my chances, realistically, of being admitted?
Oh, and for the record, 177 LSAT, 3.2 LSAC GPA, 2 years full-time work experience

Re: Columbia Reserve List
Things don't look good based on past results. This link shows all of the people who were accepted off of the waitlist at Columbia on LSN in 2010-2011:

Go back to earlier years to see if things get any better.
That said, with the drop in apps this year you might see a bit more waitlist movement than in the past. Really no reason not to write an LOCI and hang in there if Columbia is your number one choice.

Re: Columbia Reserve List
Columbia has a soft gpa floor of 3.5. They might dip to 3.4 given low app rates but at 3.2 it is extremely unlikely. Plan on going elsewhere.

Re: Columbia Reserve List
Yea after my good luck this cycle, I was beginning to think anything was possible and then got the Columbia reserve email.. back to reality, but not too shabby of a reality. .
There's a good chance I'll see you at Mich because I love their PI/nonprofit lean (in addition to the many other fantastic things hogwarts has to offer)!
Columbia would be pretty shweet though.
ETA: Unless you leave me for NYU or H.

I knew you could be converted! Mich ASW will probably seal the deal; I decided I can't wait much longer for NYU and the WL looms nearer.JDizzle2015 wrote:Yea after my good luck this cycle, I was beginning to think anything was possible and then got the Columbia reserve email.. back to reality, but not too shabby of a reality. .

And JS would have to have a serious lapse of judgement to let me into that fine, fine school.
