Interview with Duke?
My number one choice is to attend Duke in the fall...but I have a good job opportunity that I need to make a decision on like NOW or very very soon. I still have not heard back anything from Duke and was wondering if you all think it would be a good idea to ask for an interview to "expedite" my admissions decision. Already updated transcripts, resume, etc. I applied late Oct/early Nov and just recently went 2nd UR... thoughts? Above median GPA, but less than 75. Above 25th LSAT, but lowers than median....above average softs. Non URM

Well, if you don't ask you know for certain it won't happen. I doubt Duke would reject you for asking, so why not try?

I don't think you can offer to interview at a school that doesn't do interviews ( as far as I know). That would come off weird.
I would e-mail them and explain the situation, some admissions people can be understanding haha.

If you sent a LOCI, I'd just wait it out. Sorry, law school application process blows
If you're really desperate you can call and let them know about your situation. They'll pretend like they're willing to work with you and will be positive, but in all honesty will probably give 0 fucks and turn to business as usual.

I've never heard of Duke doing interviews (could be wrong though). Assuming that they don't, I would certainly would never ask for one.jrthor10 wrote:I don't think you can offer to interview at a school that doesn't do interviews ( as far as I know). That would come off weird.

Re: Interview with Duke?
Duke interviewed some people last year (I was one), but they said they only invited people whose backgrounds were hard to summarize with the application materials. I think this meant non-traditional students, but it might also include people with unusual soft factors.bobbyh1919 wrote:I've never heard of Duke doing interviews (could be wrong though). I don't think it would hurt to ask, but I am not sure it would do much good if you don't have anything really persuasive to add that is not on your resume.
