Haven't filed graduation yet.. will my grades still count?

Post by senorhosh » Sat Feb 11, 2012 8:26 pm

Due to changes to one of my school's policy, I will have completed all my requirements by the end of this quarter.

I haven't filed for a diploma yet because I want to stay another quarter to raise my GPA.

Will my next quarter count for the LSAC gpa?

Yes, so long as the institution doesn't automatically grant you your degree. All grades before receiving your first undergrad degree count. Whether you've satisfied the requirements is irrelevant.

Yes, but MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE they won't graduate you anyway; don't just assume they won't. My school told us that we would NOT graduate if we didn't apply for an audit to make sure we'd filled all the requirements, didn't have fines, etc. I did not apply for graduation when I finished all the requirements after winter term so I could get some more As in the spring and go to commencement in June. Turned out that I got an empty diploma folder at commencement because they'd graduated me in March anyway, screwing me out of 12 credits of As and filing my diploma in the registrar's office to wait until I picked it up.
