Ken DeLeon in the NYT
Someone may have already posted this, but I had to laugh to myself today when I looked at this picture in the NYT and wondered why the name sounded so familiar:
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/02/09/us/ca ... aires.html
I thought it couldn't be, but sure enough after a quick Google search, TLS's very own Ken DeLeon is the one mentioned in the article and the Real Estate agent extraordinaire:
http://www.kendeleon.com/
(his TLS profile picture was conveniently highlighted on the front page of his broker site)
--LinkRemoved--
Anyways, I must say I was actually pretty amped to find this out! Ken's creation has definitely taken on a life of its own since he designed it, and I for one know that it has helped immeasurably with my law school decisions in just about every way.
Congrats to Ken for the real estate fame! And thank you for creating such a great and FREE resource for TLSers before going on to selling 250 million+ of real estate a year. Dear lord. You're going to make so much money off of the Facebillionaires and Facemillionaires who will be crowding SF and the valley in the very near future.

This subject was brought up repeatedly in the past but I just wanted to point out a similarity I noticed when I remembered Ken's profile pricture.

Thank you for noticing!! I love TLS and am so proud of this amazing community that I have created.
While I am thankful that real estate is going so well (I started my own brokerage and may be #1 in the nation out of 1.2 million), my only regret is that it takes me away from TLS more than I would like. I still actively check in and try to help the site run on the back end but I miss engaging with our amazing members. Know that I will always love TLS and appreciate how great of a site and community I was lucky enough to have formed. Cheers,
Ken

What, nobody else is going to point out the name of the book he's writing?
Silicon Valley has been good to Mr. DeLeon, a former lawyer, who said he sold $275 million worth of homes last year, and who is finishing up a memoir about overcoming illness, injury and loss that he calls “Why Do Bad Things Happen to Sexy People?”

It isn't an unfair title, however. Just look at that smile!Yeshia90 wrote:What, nobody else is going to point out the name of the book he's writing?

That's hilarious.Mr. DeLeon said he already had plans to market to Facebook employees. One strategy: he intends to buy ads on Facebook.
It looks like you're making a killing in the real estate business, Ken. Perhaps we should reconsider our legal careers?

That awkward moment when you troll a "Ken is successful" post (since its the gazillionth of its kind and you really do not think Ken would reply) AND he replies just under you.

Tagged because...why the hell not?
Also, I don't think I've actually ever seen Ken post. I suddenly feel 10x better about my affiliation with TLS
