I am SICK of people (especially in the media at ESPIN) trying to TEAR DOWN Penn State. It's one of America's greatest schools-a public Ivy. What John Surma and his fellow stooges on the BOT did was DISGUSTING.

Joe Paterno was a great man, and Penn State is a great school, and will continue to lead the way in academics and football.

Yeah, CNN/ESPN went completely over the top (you would think Joe Paterno was the pedophile from the way they reported the case), but that's just the way they roll these days (especially nancy grace, etc).

But is Penn State really a "public ivy" - the law school is tier 2, and the UG program is well behind UVA, Michigan, and Berkeley.

That's just stupid. Everyone in PA(and much of the rest of the Mid-Atlantic) has Penn State as their top choice for college, and very few can get in.

No one has Penn as their top choice-people go there because they can't get into Harvard or Yale.
