Aside from that, I don't really think work ever becomes more than a soft. Maybe if you were literally the world's leading expert in some field that you wanted to translate to law.

IDK being a best-selling author seems to do the trick. There are probably a few other gigs along those lines that might. But like, becoming middle management isn't going to do it. Being a real person with a real job isn't going to cause schools to jizz themselves.

That's more of the important thing here. You can work for 15 years at McDonald's as a sandwich technician, and it won't matter.

You can work 1 month as a novelist (bang it out during the November novel challenge and get it published) and it will matter.
