GW Sticker, W&M instate + $, Georgetown Part-Time
FYI - Ended up really being a decision between Duke with $, UVA sticker, GULC-PT, and Vanderbilt $$ once all the acceptances come in.
Chose GULC. Making 70k while at school PT seemed least risk averse.

You would have to do extremely well to get BigLaw from WM. I like GULC PT, because you can work, at least part time, build up your resume, and if you can get paid to relieve some debt that would be great.

It was hard for me to choose between GULC part time and W&M with money. W&M is a good school and I would say that it gives you comparable job opportunities to GW. At W&M you will accumulate the same amount of debt by graduation as you would accumulate in 1 year at GW.
The job situation is better at GULC AND you can defray costs by working. I would argue for GULC. If you can do a good job networking while you are in school and maybe shift from you current job to a part time law clerk type position you can get your foot in the door and secure a job early.

It's a lot of work to be PT but I still think the GULC option is better than full-time GW.

Ummm. They have a bunch of bars. Have you been there?hoos89 wrote:keep in mind that W&M is in a town of 14,000 people. i don't even think they have bars there. i'm also from VA and to me no amount of money is worth spending 3 years in williamsburg.
part time GULC vs GW is tough, personally i'd lean towards GULC if you can get a good job.

close your eyes for like 10 min and the one you see first in your mind is where you should go.

Most people who go to WM Law don't live right on campus. Many people live in the New Town area (which has bars and a movie theater). Now, is it like living in DC? No. Is it like going to a big school like UVA? No. As far as value goes, it is a hell of a lot better value than GW.hoos89 wrote:yeah, my mom went there UG and I almost went there. it's incredibly boring. and no, they don't have true bars the closest thing i'm aware of are the delis.thelaststraw05 wrote:Ummm. The part I really should have said was a problem with your post is that the decision between PT GULC and FT GW is tough. If you are paying full tuition at each, it is an easy decision. GW and GULC will put you in the same amount of debt. One is well known nationally. The other is GW.
