Best way to update transcript?

Post by Nestico87 » Tue Jan 17, 2012 11:05 pm

I graduated in December and recently received my final semester grades- 4.0 with straight A's. What is the best way to go about updating my transcript? I read somewhere that updating your transcript may delay the application process. My applications were sent in at the beginning of January, so delaying my applications may cause a problem since they are in late already. However, I am assuming updating my transcript now (rather than waiting until after I am admitted) is the best thing to do.

What is the best way to update my transcript? Do some schools require that it is sent to them directly? Or is it the same as the initial transcript where I send one to CAS and they forward it to all of the schools I am applying?

Any helpful thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!

I'm fairly sure most schools require that you send them updated transcripts through the LSAC.

When you do send it to the LSAC they will automatically forward it to every school you have already applied to. You could email the admissions office to let them know, however, it wouldn't be necessary.

I'm in the same situation. Don't update, your GPA hasn't changed. The school you attend will request an offical transcript.
