What is the better option?

Post by jk2011 » Mon Jan 16, 2012 6:44 pm

First off, I'm 163/3.92 with strong softs. I've applied to quite a few schools. My dream is to practice in Florida. Because of this, I'm leaning towards UF or UM (which I'm told has a lock on south Florida). However I know consensus is probably retake bc of my GPA and go t14 next cycle. Probably a good idea.

My question though: if I have no desire to practice in NYC or DC, do t14 place better in FL than UF (top Florida school)? Could I get some advice on this... Thanks everyone

Yes, t14s place better.

No, Miami doesn't have a lock on southern Florida, really far from it actually.

Retake. Even if you still end up at a FL school, you'll get more money.

You may just end up at a higher T1, but Vandy, UT, etc. would probably do better than UF or UM I think.

My experience in south florida is that UF trumps all. Of course, you'd have to do very well there. And you might get more scholarship money at UM.
