Cross your digits, send "Why X" essays, plan visits & tours, and be prepared to fight like hell via campus visits and LOCIs to get off waitlists if it happens. Otherwise, just reapply next cycle.

If the school doesn't have a "Why X" essay on the app, should I just write one and send it to them?

Has anyone done this?
