Is it too late to apply to T20s?

Post by Litts787 » Thu Jan 12, 2012 3:44 am

I'm a splitter (3.1/168) and I've gotten into GW, WUSTL, and I'm WL at Fordham. Since these are the highest ranked schools I applied to, I'm starting to think i might not get dinged anywhere and maybe I should have applied to some more t20 schools just for shits and giggles. I have an LSAC fee waiver so it will only cost me $16 for the report. Is there anywhere I might still have a chance this late in the cycle?

It's never too late, especially for $16.

Maybe this is just me, but the idea that when you apply is going to be this huge factor in your success seems like a product of 1) law school application anxiety and 2) admissions people who reallllly want everyone to apply earlier so they aren't totally swamped right before the deadline.

It's just always struck me that the same people who insist that only LSAT and GPA matter in applications then turn around and tell you that applying in January basically means automatic rejection.

(Then again, maybe I'm just trying to comfort myself. I submitted my applications early January and am now playing the waiting game.)

It's about 9 years too late.
