Awards section
What should I list? How many awards are they expecting? I only have two honors societies? If I'm anticipating graduating Magna Cum Lade, should I put this here? Should I put down if I'm in the top 10 percent of the class (or is indicating this as an honor society requirement enough)?
What are examples of other things to put here?

List the awards you've received. Do not put magna cum laude because you don't get latin honors until you graduate. You can describe honor societies/requirements if they're not well-known.
We can't give you examples because we don't know what awards you've received. Things like Dean's List or scholarships count.

Should I put when I received the award?
Should I put every semester for Deans list if that is the case?

Re: Awards section
for Dean's list I have Dean's List 2010-2011. If I get it again this year I will put Dean's List 2010-2012. For CALI and other awards, I don't put a date or anything just the applicable course and a small parenthetical if I think someone may not know what it means (e.g. Best Oral Argument - 1L Legal Research and Writing; CALI Award for Excellence - Civil Procedure (award for highest grade in Civil Procedure course)).

What are other awards besides honors societies that people put? As an undergraduate, I can't think of many other than honor societies.

You can win musical/artistic/writing competitions. Philanthropic awards. You can complete an honors project. You can get a grant for your research, or present it at a conference, or get published. There are merit based scholarships. Belonging to an honors program. At my school, some departments gave cash prizes for the top grade in certain classes.matt690 wrote:What are other awards besides honors societies that people put? There are tons of different types of honors. But it doesn't really matter.

Re: Awards section
There are so many different kinds of awards that I'm not even sure what the point of the question is.
