Due to laziness on my part and other circumstances, I still have yet to submit a single app even though I took the LSAT in October. I know this was stupid of me, but whatever.
I'm just wondering if I'm at an extreme disadvantage here. Will I still be able to get into good schools or have they all filled up their classes by now?
I'm asking this because I really, really would like to go to law school in 2012. But if the chances of me getting into any decent schools are terrible because I'm applying so late, maybe I'll consider retaking the LSAT in June to give myself better chances of getting into top schools, then applying for 2013. I'd prefer to never work through another logic game again, but if it's necessary, I will. I don't know.

I will say that I had a pretty surprising cycle and I turned in my apps all around the same time last year. That being said, with your numbers there may be some scholarship opportunities, etc. that you may be passing up. Don't let this site or any of the predictors, etc. keep you from applying to the top schools, either, as I know people that had similar numbers, non URM, that got into those schools. Most apply early, but a shot is a shot. I would say apply, if you think you end up where you want to than go, if not take a year off and do it again.

My friend applied to all his schools in early January and was admitted to Stanford in late January. It was his first acceptance, then he got into other top schools throughout the rest of the winter. Contrary to TLS belief, it is possible to apply past Dec 31st and be admitted to top schools.

Your numbers are good, but it is fairly late at this point.
If you have the extra cash, apply and see what happens. If you have an air-tight application and get into the schools you want, then great.
If not, then - just like you said - you should take some time off to study and kill it on the LSAT. You have a great GPA and already have a good score, so you could likely improve it if you put in more time.
In this economy, it could never hurt to take some time off to work, study, and make sure you're making the best decision for yourself, as long as you have the means to do so. Think it through, and do what is best for you.

If your numbers were middle at median of T1s, I'd say you are risking it. I applied late and had "middle of the road" numbers for Fordham, BU, and BC (165/3.75). Only got into 1 and was waitlisted at the other 2 and I genuinely believe that applying late had a big factor (I applied in January)
You, on the other hand, have a near perfect GPA and a good LSAT. Depending on your definition of "good school," you are going to be fine if you send out your apps now. Lower T14 will probably bite, and you may see good stuff from some upper echelons.
tl;dr: You're not screwed, but don't dily daly any longer!
