Hi. I'm Melissa and I'm a font snob.
I hate Times New Roman with a burning passion. I've been using Garamond as a replacement serif font. It's similar but has a visible difference. Should I stick to Times for my apps (PS, resume, supplements, etc.)? I have a feeling I know what the answer will be, but I need to ask

Just use Helvetica. I know you want to.

Definitely use calbibri. And print it on scented paper. Law school apps are all about conveying your style

Wingdings. If the school was meant for you, they'll understand your ambulance, firetruck, airplane, no smoking sign PS

Screw it. I'm using a mixture of Comic Sans, Papyrus, and Curlz!

Personally I like Century Gothic hahaha.
Umm is it wrong if my PS and addendum are in Times and then my resume is in Arial?!

Ok, I've figured it out. I'm going to use the Soprano's font with every "r" being a gun. Brilliant.

YES.
Avoid Times at all costs. Garamond is fine.

Garamond is the best - also great for fitting a longer PS on 2 pages in 12pt.
Also, I would love to do an experiment where someone with a 3.8+/175+ submits all of their application materials in either papyrus or comic sans to see if they are still accepted most places and if any schools comment on the font...
I'd volunteer, but unfortunately my numbers fall a little short

You should try it with a T3 or T4 just for shitz and giggles

haha - I totally would, but I don't think it's quite worth even the $16 CAS fee for the schools w/ free apps.

Good point. Plus I would worry about them somehow telling the LSAC that I have mental issues or something

No. My resume was in Arial and my PS was in Times.
And to the OP: I think you should use Chiller in red. Especially if you have a criminal history.

My resume was in Garamond but everything else was in Times. I thought that was fine since the resume is obviously formatted differently. Your experience may vary.
