Tell LOR professor I'm pushing my cycle back?
So I'm pushing back my application cycle so I can retake the LSAT in june. I still have one professor who hasn't sent in a LOR yet. Do you think I shouldn't tell her that I'm holding off my applications now or wait until she's already sent the letter in? I just don't want to deal with LOR shit anymore and I'm scared she'll wait to send out my letter until next year when I apply.
The only reason I care is that I graduated in 2010, so by the time I actually apply it will be two years since I was last in her classes. But I feel like kind of a jerk if she's rushed to finish the letter and I'm not even applying this cycle.
What would you do?

I would just let her submit the letter as originally planned.

Yeah I was thinking that, but I already kind of hinted that I might re-take the LSAT and I would let her know if did. I told her around Halloween that I was planning on applying by thanksgiving and she said that wouldn't be a problem, but now that Thanksgiving has passed I'm wondering if she's waiting on an email from me about re-taking the test. If I was applying this cycle, at this point I would have sent her a reminder email about it, I'm wondering if she'll think my lack of response is strange.sasuke wrote:I would just let her submit the letter as originally planned.
I'm also pretty bad about responding to emails, and she sent me one telling me that she received my LSAC papers and she'd get right on writing the LOR at the beginning of November. I feel a little stupid for not sending one back thanking her and everything. I think I'm getting a little paranoid.

It's just that as originally planned was by Thanksgiving, and now that that has passed I'm getting nervous that she's waiting for a response from me.rinkrat19 wrote:Me too.sasuke wrote:I would just let her submit the letter as originally planned.

Just have her send it in now...otherwise she will take her time and not send it in till next year. Better to be early.
