Early decision or wait for December LSAT?
My GPA is 3.3, and I got 172 on my Oct LSAT. I'm applying ED to Columbia. They asked if I wanted my December score to be considered, which would defer me to regular decision. Assuming I can get around 176~178 for December LSAT, would I have a better shot to wait for December score or early decision?
Thank you for any insight!
Edit*In defense of my horrid GPA, I worked full time all through college. I escaped political persecution in my country to get to the US (if that counts)

I think you at least need a 175+ to have a chance at Columbia with that GPA, even ED. I say tell them to wait on your score.

I'm not URM, but I'm definitely a diversity candidate (I know the word is used too loosely nowadays, but I would be one even under the strictest definitions).evian1212 wrote:never mind. just realized you are URM. ignore my previous post.

We're going to need more info about why/how in order to best assess your chances.semicollante wrote:I'm not URM, but I'm definitely a diversity candidate (I know the word is used too loosely nowadays, but I would be one even under the strictest definitions).evian1212 wrote:never mind. just realized you are URM. ignore my previous post.

Really tough choice. Without knowing more about your softs, I'm leaning more towards waiting...

Maybe wait on the Dec score and put something about how you wanted to ED in your PS/addendum? Not sure how much of an affect it will have.

wait. you're a smidge above their LSAT median and waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayy below 25 percentile GPA
You need a 175+ w/o URM status
EDIT: You're right at their LSAT median
