To start, I have a 172 and a 3.78. I know that these are good statistics for Georgetown, but I'm afraid of YP. Thus, I have 3 questions:
1) Is this a legitimate fear, or am I being dramatic (it definitely would not be the first neurotic thing I've done)
2) Is there any section to submit a "Why Georgetown" essay? Do they care?
3) Is it advised to do one of the optional statements?
Thanks for any information.

I don't think you should be worried about being YP'd. If you want to write the optional essays go for it, but not if it's going to delay you sending your app in by more than a few days or so IMO.

Georgetown doesn't YP. They have accepted a lot of people with better numbers than you already this cycle. That said, you will almost certainly get in to better ranked schools, so if you have some special reasons for going to Georgetown, might as well tell them - it might get you scholarship money (they don't have much, but some).
