Schools That Request Updated Transcripts
Does anyone here know of any schools that typically request updated transcripts of applicants after mid-December grades come out?
Thanks.
Thanks.

further, if you are already accepted do these grades have any significance, assuming you have passing marks

I've never heard of someone having their acceptance to a law school rescinded due to bad college grades after acceptance.iamrobk wrote:Kinda curious on this myself (no, not because I plan to stop caring about my grades )john1990 wrote:further, if you are already accepted do these grades have any significance, assuming you have passing marks

Every school I know of requires you to update them of any change to your application, including grades. Not to mention, if you are admitted, you will need to submit your final grades to them, so why wait? Give them the info as soon as you can to avoid looking as if you are trying to delay the inevitable.

Yeah, didn't think that was common at all, I'm just paranoid (for no real reason, I should add) that I'll have a poor last semester or something and be screwed.Bildungsroman wrote:I've never heard of someone having their acceptance to a law school rescinded due to bad college grades after acceptance.iamrobk wrote:Kinda curious on this myself (no, not because I plan to stop caring about my grades )john1990 wrote:further, if you are already accepted do these grades have any significance, assuming you have passing marks

I wouldn't worry. If law school is such a numbers game as everyone seems to think, they might only want to know to verify that you are actually graduating, or just that you still have a decent attitude. Maybe if you bomb with a bunch of C's they'll shoot you something like, "So... What happened there?"
But rescinding sounds too far if you can give them a good explanation.

they reserve the right to change their minds in case of a large dropoff but IDK if they actually do. If it's a medians issue, it may happen
