Faxing LOR Forum

I saw several posts mention faxing the letter of recommendation to LSAC.
One of my recommender will be out of the country for November. So I called LSAC to confirm whether faxing the recommendation letter is an option.

However, I was told that LSAC strongly advice against faxing LOR.

Anybody faxing LOR before?

I just had a letter faxed last week. It was processed in one business day. Go ahead and do it.

They advise against it because faxes leave the chance of the text coming out unclear. However, I really don't think this is an issue for most fax machines.

Both mine were faxed and it was fine.
