You're fine.
Could you possibly do more of this
But really though, the title of this thread is a lil inappropriate. Will people judge you for spelling errors? Of course they will. Will this matter very much though? Not very much if it was a Word autocorrect thing.

Plenty of schools don't even read that shit or care. I know somebody who get into a school (that some people claim is good) with a PS she wrote specifically for and about another school.
Yeah, I did this too. Sent an updated PS to them, though I assume they still read both. Still got in.
So no, you'll be fine.

they don't read the essays at all. the only thing that matters for admissions is GPA/LSAT. "Borderline" candidates do not gain admission based on good essays. Either you are in the GPA/LSAT range or you or not (or you are URM).

This is false.
anyway, OP... Don't worry and don't beat yourself up over it. I sent in the wrong version of something on my app with missing "a"s and I proofread a billion times... I just didn't notice I pasted the wrong version in the box. Sometimes looking at it so many times can make us blind to the little stuff.

If it were up to me you would be getting a 24 hour ban for posting this.

Oh dear.
Anyhow, I had multiple typos on my Columbia app (first one I sent in, natch). Didn't matter, got VCE'd in the middle of that huge snowstorm in Chicago last year.

Although if you're unlucky enough to have your file read by someone who cares about shit like misspelling and individual attention paid to the school in your app then this would really screw you. Guess you should proofread better next time.
The thing is, I proofread the HELL out of my essays / submitted like draft 35... I litterly don't know how I did that... fuck
The worst part is in my essay on why I want to go there, I kept talking about how much I love the school and it is spelled wrong lol
I had two errors in my PS even though I proofread it a bajillion times. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN?
Anyway, I survived and got in to a T14. We were talking about it in the UVA thread and I think it's actually really common. Although obviously that's a pretty big error, but it sounds like they've seen it before.

+1. I just noticed a minor error on mine because I was submitting 1 app later today. Really. I looked at this stuff so many times and had proof readers. You just become blind after a while.
