Binding ED to Notre Dame, but I think I could have a problem
So, I committed to the binding ED application to Notre Dame on LSAC, and I don't think it will let me go back now to switch to a regular decision application.
I'm also applying to an internship that isn't law school related. This internship is more of a once-in-a-lifetime thing, that is a very long shot for me to land.
On the off chance that I do land it, and if I'm accepted to ND, I won't be able to accept the internship, would I? I haven't submitted my app to ND yet because I'm worried about this--so much so that I might not submit it.

Thanks! The organization usually receives 2000+ applications for 6 spots in their internship program, so it is quite the opportunity. Fingers crossed on both.lrslayer wrote:call lsac. they will delete that app so you can do the rd app. good luck on app and internship!Samuel L. Re: Binding ED to Notre Dame, but I think I could have a problem
I think the idea of just getting LSAC to change it to RD is the best one.
However, if you get in somewhere through a binding early decision program, but decide to do something other than law school, it's not like they can make you attend. You may be screwing yourself over for future law school application cycles, but you'd be able to do your internship.

It's a 2-year internship, so I don't think I could.tennisking88 wrote:You can also defer..

Lol.
ED means if you go to law school this year you'll go to that law school. If you decide not to attend law school, there are zero negative consequences in future cycles, except maybe for that particular school, and even then probably not.

Sometime in November to see if I got a phone interview. After that they'll fly the final candidates in for live interviews. I'll likely find out either way before I get back my decision from ND.tennisking88 wrote:When will you hear back if you got it or not?Samuel L.
