How important is it to write a why UVA essay? I would love to go there, but I won't be able to visit until after I have applied and hopefully been accepted. I want to practice in DC, which is primarily why I want to apply there.
Should I risk not writing one or risk it coming off as insincere since I haven't visited?

Write it; it're really important. Look at the website and pick out a few things you like, then just get it done.
