Honestly, I'd wait a year, retake sometime in between now and then, and boost my score up.
Having a higher LSAT score will definitely help with the money situation, but applying late will hurt with that. If it's possible, take that year to get some WE, a higher LSAT score, and apply early next year to see some good scholarship money.
If that's not possible, I'd probably apply now and retake December to hopefully improve my score for later in the decision process.
