Northwestern Super ED Get in And Life is a Breeze Program
I am just curious to see who is applying for the Northwestern ED program. I am not. The full ride deal is so tempting and if someday in the future I am a doc review debt slave I will hate myself for not applying, but I don't see NU as a good fit for me compared to the schools I did apply to. Are people with HYSCCN ambitions trying it? If a person would be comfortable at NU I am sure it would be easy to rationalize throwing out an ED app. A T14 full ride is hard to beat.

I would like to, but the mandatory on campus interview is a killer for me, as I'm on the other side of the world. I briefly debated dropping 2k and taking time off from work, but I'm not confident I'd be a competitive candidate. I would have to assume they are looking for HYS numbers. Anyone think I'd have a strong/realistic shot with a 3.75/175?

I'd think you would, but I'm not an adcomm. Northwestern places people like hell though, so there are worse schools to go to.otnemem wrote:I would like to, but the mandatory on campus interview is a killer for me, as I'm on the other side of the world. I didn't drop the cash to make the trip for an interview because I have no full-time WE. My numbers are solid (177/3.65) but the lack of WE hurts me for NW...

serious concern over sticker shock. I need to talk it over with the fiancee. Are you trying to get rid of ED applicants?basilseal wrote:ED Chi!JamMasterJ wrote:debating between ED NU and ED Chi

People can ask if their numbers are competitive but I don't think anybody knows what competitive numbers will look like. I would guess Harvard numbers (3.9, 175) but it is pure speculation.
