What's a nice way to nag LOR writers about sending the LOR?

Post by llachans » Sat Oct 22, 2011 11:44 am

What is the nicest way to contact LOR writers and remind them to mail my LOR to LSAC/confirm that they have?
I don't want to seem like I'm nagging them but I was hoping LSAC would have received the LORs by now since I sent my writers the forms a month ago (and asked them to write the recommendations in late August).

Thanks!

First of all, I would have already checked in if it's been months. (After a month..."I'm just calling/e-mailing to make sure you didn't discover that you needed any more info from me.") At this point, I'd say that you know they are busy but admissions are done on a rolling basis and already open, and could they give you a timeline of when they'd be able to complete the LOR.

Tell them 200K in debt is riding on it. If your LOR people aren't motivated, smoke them out - it's a required but not critical part of you application.
