advice! can i do this?
i already submitted all of my apps. but i was thinking about taking the december lsat because i think i may still have a chance of improving (i already have two scores). can i do this? and then send the schools an updated score if my december lsat went well? and not send anything if my score stays the same? has anyone else done this?

If you retake it the schools will see your new score no matter what.

even if they've already given me a decision? say i get waitlisted at x by december or accepted at y by december---they will still get the score sent to them in january?

If you sign up for the december test, I think all the schools see that you are signed up for it. So they will hold your application until the test results come, I think.

I did this last year....
Your schools should automatically receive your updated score, but many of their offices are so busy with new apps coming in every day that they might miss it.
I was fortunate enough to score significantly higher on the Dec LSAT, and soon after my score was updated I received several denials that didn't seem to make sense.
I called the admissions offices at these schools to ask them if they had noticed my new LSAT....they had NOT.
Long story short, I was admitted to several schools after being formally rejected.
MORAL OF THE STORY: Make sure to stay in personal contact with the schools and LET THEM KNOW when your new score goes up. Don't assume the LSAC auto-update is sufficient.
Best of luck to you....

When they sit down to make decisions about acceptances/rejections they will see that you are signed up for the December test and likely pass over your file until the new score is reported. If you get acceptances before you sign up for the exam I don't think it is likely a school would rescind the acceptance but all of the schools will receive an update on the score. It's not like you can hide an LSAT score or something.vsanghav wrote:i guess im confused because my app is complete everywhere except one school. so they would just get a notification when i signed up for the test?
