173 on the LSAT or 770 on the GMAT
Which is more impressive? Both are the lowest of 99th percentile scores. Used to be 172 and 760. By the way, I don't have these scores.

Since we are talking about law schools, the obvious answer is the LSAT.

You'd be surprised how little we care.

I've taken a practice GMAT before. The LSAT is harder.

LOL this is like saying you took one practice LSAT and got a 175, therefore the LSAT is easy. Practice GMATs are even less predictive than LSATs because of the test format.law4vus wrote:I've taken a practice GMAT before. The LSAT is harder.
While the GMAT is a more comprehensive test, the LSAT is much more important from an admissions perspective. The 173 will impress more people (it's the median at H & Y after all).

By and large, the only people impressed by an LSAT score are prospective law students and admissions officers. Maybe a few 1Ls. No one else knows enough to care. And I've never met anyone who was impressed by a GMAT or GRE score. The weight the admissions officers that rely on these two tests give them make it seem like it's even less impressive than the LSAT.

Talking more about the question types, not the score itself. They are very similar, but just tend to be a little easier on the GMAT. That's just what I got from it. I also am very good at math so that may be why I'd find that easier than logic games (though I did only get -1 on games).bdubs wrote:LOL this is like saying you took one practice LSAT and got a 175, therefore the LSAT is easy.
