ED @ Pitt screw-up
Hey everyone, I already applied to 8 schools this cycle and Pitt was one of the last. None of them were binding ED, except Pitt. It's not anywhere near my top choice, and the only reason I forgot was because I was on the fence about applying there in the first place. Now I have a binding ED app in to Pitt (one of my last choices), and 7 other app's out.
I checked the app on LSAC again and I did not agree to anything binding in my opinion, but there was a link to Pitt's website for more information which only mentioned that is was a binding agreement.
Suggestions? I'm not sure if I should call them and ask to be deferred to RD, or just wait it out.

Wait it out? Why would you do that. It's one of your last choices, call them and try to sort it out. The sooner the better.

Withdraw your app.
Did you just ED everywhere?

You accidentally ED'd somewhere?? Finally, a thread during application season that I haven't seen a million times before.
I would call them and try to get out of it right away. If you get accepted you're either going to have to withdraw and wait another year to apply to law school or you have to go to a school you don't want to go to. I would make sure you didn't accidentally ED anywhere else too

CALL. It won't be a big deal until a decision has been made.

If you wait it out, you could potentially get in and screw yourself over big time. Call, call, call!un-vordox wrote:Suggestions? I'm not sure if I should call them and ask to be deferred to RD, or just wait it out.

That was amazingly fast. Linda at admissions took less than 30 seconds to change my app to RD.
