Evaluations
I know that most schools don't care about this, but when I was getting my recommendation letters back in the spring, I also got evaluations from the same people. Is there any sense in submitting those?

Re: Evaluations
No reason not to. Some won't let you.
I submitted them to whoever let me submit them.

Re: Evaluations
Do you think it matters that they are from same people as the ones that did my recommendations?

Re: Evaluations
I would think they're supposed to be--it's like a quantifiable supplement to the recommendation.

That's what I thought, but my pre-law adviser thought otherwise but I have a hard time trusting her judgment at times. lol

Haha, my prelaw advisors are the same. Remember: if they had any talent, they would be out there working as lawyers instead of telling undergrads how to do it.Kess wrote:That's what I thought, but my pre-law adviser thought otherwise but I have a hard time trusting her judgment at times. lol

Well she went to Yale (or maybe that was for UG... lol) so she must know something. It might be that I just don't like her general personality.

Re: Evaluations
I would imagine that the evaluations are especially useful when they supplement LORs because law schools seem to love anything to do with rankings/ratings.

Re: Evaluations
Just be careful to read the instructions. Off the top of my head, I know that Cornell allows you to submit Evals on top of your LOR's, but say that they should not come from the same people.

Re: Evaluations
Yeah I am going to have reread everything before I submit. So far I attached 3 LoR to all of my schools, but will attach the evaluations when I review.
