Seeking Anecdotes...

Post by emkay625 » Sun Oct 02, 2011 1:59 am

I am seeking anecdotes from anyone who retook and ended up with a lower score.

How did your cycle go? Did the lower retake score have a negative impact? Or did it seem like schools just looked at your first score?

166-162-166

My application was treated like I had a 166. I am confident that I wouldn't have been admitted with a 162 or even a 164 maybe. I really think only the highest score matters. I may not be best person to judge based on because I applied ED so I only had 1 data point. Still, my experience was that it wasn't a huge deal.

I'm really interested in this, too.

Anybody want to share stories publicly (or PM me)?
