Harvard Application Truncating Responses

Post by freddie » Fri Sep 23, 2011 7:18 pm

When I preview my application, several lines of my response for an education section question are missing. Is anyone else having similar issues? I would appreciate ideas on how to resolve it.

I had similar problems with applications for other schools - I think it's just a general problem with the new LSAC application forms. In one case, the problem disappeared when I came back a week later, and in the other case I truncated my response until it was fully displayed.

I read here that someone contacted LSAC, and they said not to worry because the schools will see your entire response. Whether you trust LSAC is another question.

Don't know if this applies to you, but I had a similar issue that resulted from copying and pasting information into the blank fields. Those fields have max. character requirements, but somehow pasting circumvents those requirements (for ex. pasting 750 characters into a field with a 500 limit). It's possible that the field initially allows you to paste too many characters, but the PDF file doesn't recognize anything beyond the max. If LSAC said otherwise then I may be wrong about this, but it's worth exploring.
