how fast do we have to notify schools that we accept offer?

is there a general date or time period of when we have to tell schools our decision, when they accept us?

Here is a list of deposit deadlines from last year:

If you don't submit a deposit by the deadline (usually mid April-early May) you lose the spot. Some people will deposit at more than one school to keep their options open, but by the second deposit deadline in June double-dipping is no longer an option.

so just because we put in a deposit we dont have to actually go? we basically just end up losin cash?

There's a deadline to pay a seat deposit to hold your place in the class (I think this is binding at some schools, but some allow you to deposit at multiple schools). The date varies by school but is generally in April.sangr wrote:hey guys

If you don't go to a school where you paid the deposit, yes, you lose the cash. It can be a gamble, but in that case you're paying the $500-750 to guarantee yourself at least a seat at School X while waiting to see if you get off the waitlist at School Y or Z.
