I disagree. In the education section on the resume, under the institution I would definitely put institutional GPA.JamMasterJ wrote:LSAC.sangr wrote:so on my actual school transcript it seems to be a certain number.

Do you list the GPA seperately... like at my CC Its a 3.6ish and at my University its a 3.9ish cumulative its a 3.55 (due to some Fs from a failed first attempt at college).Bildungsroman wrote:I disagree. Re: discrepancy between my college GPA and LSAC College GPA
just to clarify
what i meant by LSAC GPA is the one they calculate with both of my schools (i transferred)
however for the calculation of my GPA that LSAC does for only ONE OF my schools is different. THATS the gpa im asking about. NOT the LSAC final GPA.
does the answer still remain the same?
institutional GPA
vs
the GPA for ONE school that LSAC calculted (NOT the FINAL LSAC GPA, with the combined schools)
thanks

I hadn't thought of that -- I have the same situation; LSAC calculated my individual GPAs differently than did the institutions...I think I will still would put institutional GPA on my resume though.

On the resume under each institution, put the GPA that institution assigned you.

lol,
then what do we do about the school listing INSIDE the LSAC application?
im talking about the one where u can list ranking, GPA, college, etc.
which GPa are u guys listing for that? it seems more confusing there

I still put the GPA the institution awarded me. Using LSAC's "calculation" for each individual school is using an unofficial number. They get the academic report from LSAC anyway, so it's really not a big deal.sangr wrote:lol,

Seriously, this is the correct answer. When someone asks you to verify your GPA, you'd look silly for giving them anything other than the transcript from your school.Bildungsroman wrote:On the resume under each institution, put the GPA that institution assigned you.

i asked admissions and the lady seemed to talk as if the ones we write down are negligible because they focus on the summary report anyways.
