Letter of Reccomendation choice...two MUST be academic?

Post by sangr » Mon Sep 05, 2011 11:46 am

hey guys

just wondering

im planning on sending three to a certain school

just wondering, must two of them be academic? i do have two academic ones..but for one of the professors I dont know how well he/she wrote it for me.

i do have one that i know is good that is academic..and another professional one which is good, and which he also attests to my academic ability.

is that fine or do they really want two academic?

If schools ask for two academic, I would send two academic. The only situation I see as possibly being different is if you have been out of school for a long period of time.

Depends on the school and that info should be easily found in admission requirements. I've noticed some schools want an LOR to attest to your academic ability and one toward character. Essentially both LOR's need to indicate future success in law school.

.... but as always, if your gpa/lsat are above medians then it really doesn't matter.
