Dean Tom didn't tell us the LSAT or GPA info. But we've got 4 Ph.D.'s, 8 Fullbrights, and an ex-NFL'er.

We all know the GPA/LSAT doesn't really matter at Berkeley anyway.

In other words, their numbers probably still suck and they're trying to draw attention away from it.

Well aren't you sassy this morning. Anyway, you're probably right, though I'm not sure this is a bad thing.

Good to know. Is it just me, or does it seem like a lot of these GPAs are really high? For some reason I thought they would be in the 3.7~ range. Gah.

Well, NU is one of those schools who percentiles are all reported to the tenths digit. It makes me think they round their numbers. It would be weird to always manipulate the admissions so that your 25th/50th/75th is always on a 3.X0.

That's true, that makes sense! I guess it is the median and not the average - so they're still able to take a lot of splitters.

Is it honestly that normal for the medians to be released during orientation? I get it on a piece of paper that maybe gets handed out to folks or something, but when the dean of admissions is doing the welcome ceremony gig, do the incoming students care enough about crap like the LSAT to want to know it anyway?

For Columbia,

At the info session the woman said that the new medians would be posted at the end of august on their website, and would be available if you request a viewbook late in august.

That's funny. They were handing out a sheet on the stats to us (c/o 2013). Maybe they're just waiting to report it until they get attendance figures for orientation so that they can cull the people that forgot to withdraw that chose to go somewhere else at the last minute.

75/25s at NYU are 174/170 and 3.85/3.57. Not sure about medians though.

why would an incoming 1L care about the medians?
Also... why would a current law student hang out on the law school admissions forum?

So that's +1 on the LSAT 25th, and -1 on the 75th?

Not that anyone but me probably cares, but Drake posted its incoming class stats on its website.

13.9% Yield
156 Median LSAT
153/158 25th/75th LSAT
3.4 Median GPA
3.06/3.64 25th/75th GPA

(edited for calling yield acceptance, oops)
