Cheap health insurance for students?
I do not have health insurance and the school I am attending requires it. They are offering their own health insurance plan (Aetna institute) for $563 per year. Wondering if there are cheaper options out there and if anybody else has cheap health insurance. Pretty much the minimum required...

That's about as cheap as you're going to find it. And school plans tend to be pretty complete.gothamm wrote:I do not have health insurance and the school I am attending requires it. I pay $90 a month with United Health. $1500 dollar deductible which isn't horrible considering it cost like 700 just to ride in an ambulance.
I'm scarred shitless of getting hurt and having tens of thousands in medical bills so I'd get something that has a deductible that you can reasonably pay should you need to.

If you can't ride your parents' plan then take the school's $500 plan. My old man used to work in health insurance, believe me you don't want to deal with a private company if you need to use the plan.

That's an awesome option. My undergrad's was much more expensive than that.
